Each piece of pottery on pages 6
and 7 of this gallery has been hand selected from potters showing the most
potential of becoming highly skilled or master potters.
Many of the potters are between the ages of 14 to 23 years old and
have been making pots for a year or two. Some started
pottery later in life and are just starting to come into their own.
We felt creating a market for
these beautiful hidden gems would encourage the potters to to continue
developing their talent that will enrich us all.
Just think if Roberto Olivas,
Victor Reyes or others went on to become famous potters of Mata Ortiz and
you owned a few pieces of their early work in your collection.....what a
treasure! |
